For this spring session, luca and the volunteering architects Arnaud De Meyer and Susanne Tietmann invite you to discover and sketch modernist buildings in Luxembourg City.

You will be able to discover, pencil in hand, the twenty-century architectural heritage of the City built between the 50s and the 70s : from the most iconic buildings to small gems, from institutional buildings to infrastructures. Whether you are an amateur or an established artist, join us for a creative day around modernist architecture from Kirchberg to the City centre.

At the end of the tour, come to luca ! Here, we invite you to continue sketching and dwell at the 'Vilanova Artigas. Drawing Models' exhibition. Discover a selection of facsimile drawings and sketches of João Batista Vilanova Artigas, one of the major figures in the twentieth-century Brazilian architectural scene celebrated as a leader of the Brazilian 'Paulista' modernist movement.

Prepare your pencils, markers and sketchbooks and join the sketchers for a new and unique session !

Urban Sketchers Luxembourg

Urban Sketchers is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to fostering a global community of artists who practice on-location drawing.

Our mission is to raise the artistic, storytelling and educational value of on-location drawing, promoting its practice and connecting people around the world who draw on location where they live and travel.

 

Urban Sketchers organizes an International Urban Sketchers Symposium every year in a different city around the world, as well as urban sketching workshops in various cities.

 

The global Urban Sketchers community offers the opportunity to make new friends in your area and to learn from others as you start capturing your surroundings with pen and paper and sharing your results.

 

We are a supportive group where you’ll find inspiration online and a network of sketching buddies all over the world. If you’re planning a trip, you may wish to arrange to sketch with members of an USk Regional Chapter in the city you will be visiting.

 

Urban Sketchers Luxembourg is the Luxembourg regional chapter of Urban Sketchers.
