Le Chantier raconte la transformation d’un cinéma légendaire sous la direction de l’architecte Renzo Piano. Tourné pendant trois ans, le film fait le portrait d’une société en miniature et examine les réalités du travail à l’œuvre pour créer la magie du cinéma. Une immersion dans la complexité d'un chantier de grande envergure en plein Paris, qui montre la diversité des métiers mobilisés dans la réalisation de cet ambitieux projet.
