Join us on December 19th for the final critics of the Design Studio "Worlding Soils. Caring for Soil Communities in Minett", which will take the form of an exhibition featuring the work, proposals, and strategies for soil caring and remediation from the students of the Master in Architecture at the University of Luxembourg.

Throughout the autumn semester, a cross-disciplinary Design Studio led by Marija Marić, David Peleman, and César Reyes Nájera explored the Minett soil's physical, social, economic, and political condition. The students' works suggest a renewed approach to Luxembourg's post-industrial landscape, bringing care and empathy to the extractive logics of land use and exploitation that has often accompanied architectural practice.

The Design Studio featured a series of open lectures presenting the work of renowned researchers and practitioners who are opening up new ways of understanding and relating to the soil as a living community, of which we humans are just one part. The exhibition opening will be followed by the last lecture of the series, given by Marina Otero Verzier, architect and researcher at GSAPP Columbia University.
